As in other
large cities, food cart tendency and the gourmet food truck is in full swing in
San Francisco. It is surprising, also, considering the reality that San
Francisco has to alter it is laws to adapt better this food tendency that is
growing, like other cities, have. But perhaps all the challenge and perseverance
needed to open a food truck in San Francisco up makes the food that much
better! You can easily find them if you join San Francisco Food Tour.
Here are a few
of the most famous gourmet SF food trucks and carts, with their twitter names
so that you understand where to find them:
Likely the most
gourmet food truck, Spencer to the Go!, is a side project of the French
restaurant Chez Spencer. They serve a twist traditional French cuisine like
escargot "lollipops," broiled sweet bread and ratatouille.
Another basic is
the Magic Curry Kart. It does, although you'd not expect such tasty chicken
& vegetable curry to come from a small cart covered with neon lights! And,
in case you bring your personal bowl, you get a reduction.
Among the most
used is the one-man-process, the CrmeBrle Cart. He serves uniquely and warm
-flavoured crmebrles, like Mexican Lavender Chocolate and Honey Vanilla.
The Chairman Bao
Bun Truck serves gooey steamed (and interestingly, baked) Chinese buns and
omelettes. Buff favourites are the Chinese Sausage and Egg Sandwich, as well as
the Pork Belly with Pickled Daikon bun with Hoisin.
And in the event
you cannot determine which food cart to try out, try them all! A new foodie
convention lately started up called Off the Grid -- a group of Road Food
markets across the Bay Area. Each marketplace features some live music and at
least five sellers.
There is also
never ending list of food trucks and carts in the city. However, if you are
looking for some unique cuisine to satisfy your appetite, then it is
recommended to take walking tours in san francisco.
